Our Corporate Advisory group provide innovative solutions for difficult corporate transactions. Our team is made up of highly respected lawyers, leaders in listed takeover bids and schemes of arrangement, cross border M&A transactions and capital raising. We are seeking candidates who have a genuine passion for regulated M&A, ECM and corporate governance/compliance and who acknowledge that this area of law is technically hard, and demanding, but also very rewarding. Recent transactions include:

Australis Oil & Gas in connection with its IPO and $100 million placement to fund acquisition of the Encana TMS assets;
Renaissance Minerals on the $40 million takeover bid by Emerald Resources;
Australian Grains Champion on its $3 billion approach to Cooperative Bulk Handling; and
BC Iron on its $26 million fully committed rights issue.

The role

As a valued member of the Corporate advisory team you will work on various matters relating to:

Corporate mergers, acquisitions and disposals, and related due diligence
IPOs, placements and rights issues
Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rule compliance issues, including continuous disclosure and corporate governance

About You

3+ years post-admission experience
Broad experience in listed takeover bids, schemes of arrangement, private M&A and capital raising
Strong knowledge of Corporations Act and Listing Rules
Exceptional analytical and drafting skills
Strong mentoring and matter management skills
